| Original Black Deco Borzoi Lamp
This Greyhound mold was made in the
1940's, designed by Royal Hickman. They weren't made as lamps until the 50's. They first appear in the Haeger catalog around 1954 (as "Picture Window Lamps").
On these pieces, hardware is original and the base is a smooth
oval. Also seen with a rabbit finial. This design has been reissued by Royal Haeger in 1998. |

Black Deco Borzoi REPRODUCTION
Made
1999; Not truly a reproduction, since these are produced by
Royal Haeger, but often mistaken for the original piece. The
original versions of this model were made in the 1940's.
The original pieces had a smooth oval base. The new pieces
have a rounded square base. |
