Basenji; matt finish Compare to current Basenji This was Mr. Hevener's first Basenji. It was commissioned by Michael Work, the owner of a Best of Breed Trophy winner at the Lancaster Dog show in 1980. Mr. Work improved the breed by bringing dogs back from Africa. From Mr. Hevener's Mother's collection $62

 The Basset's Tale

First There was this fellow-- Mr. Hevener's first commission as a designer, made in 1978 for a company in New York. He designed a series of 12 pieces that were shown at the NY;  gift show.  From Mr. Hevener's Mother's collection $64
