is Maggie 107", a knock-off of Beswick's Model 805 (Dog
with Ladybird on tail". Maggie is 3-inches tall, and was
probably cast from Beswick's 2 1/2-inch versions of this model made
between 1940 and 1969 for the Beswick Fun Model Series design
credited to "Mr. Watkin" of Beswick; With Silver Sticker. Note brown
spot and incised "3" on bottom. |

is the larger version of Maggie, comparable to Beswick's 3 3/4-inch size
version. With sticker and blue spot.

Royal Doulton Character Dog Series |

| Royal Doulton did a popular "Character Dog" series from
1934 - 1985. The same poses were reworked and released under the
Beswick backstamp from 1986 - 1989. The Beswick versions (as with
the Robert Simmons versions) have less detail and are slightly
larger than the Royal Doulton versions. In most cases, the modeler
for Doulton's Character Dogs is listed as "unknown". |
